The Mahora Junior High Class 2-A: Music Class - Primary Attendance Song CD was released in Japan on ​August 03, 2005 by KING RECORDS via their Star Child label for ￥2,800. This CD was released for XEBEC's TV anime series that would start airing in January of the same year.

The CD is is the first of two released for XEBEC's TV anime series, focusing on the original soundtrack. In addition, it also includes the TV-sized versions of the Happy☆Material opening and the To the Shining You ending songs.these songs being, Happy☆Material and To the Shining You ~ Peace. This release includes two discs, one housing the music and the other containing Negima-themed CD-ROM extras, such as wallpapers, screensavers, etc.

    The songs from the original soundtrack were composed by Shinkichi Mitsumune.

    The art featured on the cover of Negima's CD releases are unique and are not reused from other materials. This release features art of characters in the same art-style as the TV series.
