The Happy☆Material OP Single - February CD was released in Japan on March 2, 2005 by KING RECORDS via their Star Child label for ￥700. This CD was released for XEBEC's TV anime series that would start airing in January of the same year.

The CD is part of a collection that is focused on the opening theme of XEBEC's TV anime series, the song, Happy☆Material. This is the second release of six separate CD's, each performed by a set of the series' voice actresses. Aside from the singers, the arrangement of the song itself was different for each new CD release and would release monthly between the months of January and June. Each version of the opening would appear in the anime series for a select number of episodes.


Item Details:
    All songs were performed by the voice actresses Mani Deguchi, Ai Bandou, Akeno Watanabe, Shizuka Itou, and Akemi Kanda the voices of Madoka Kugimya, Misora Kasuga, Chachamaru Karakuri, Misa Kakizaki, and Asuna Kagurazaka respectively. The lyrics of Happy☆Material​ were written by Uran, the composition was by Shigenobu Okawa, the arrangement by Kaoru Okubo.

    The art featured on the cover of Negima's CD releases are unique and are not reused from other materials. The Happy☆Material OP Single releases features art of characters in the same art-style as the TV series.

    The Pactio Card released with this CD is not an exact replica of what appears in the series, notably as the backside is unique. This series of cards were released with various pieces of media, exclusively with the CD and DVD releases. All the students of Negi's class had a card. This card is made of a thin paper material and measures approximately 11.5 x 6.4 centimeters. There are higher quality cards that act as faithful replicas, but this is not one of those.
