This is the 19th volume of a series of 38 books in total about the challenges of Negi, a child wizard who is tasked with teaching a class of junior-high girls all while searching for clues to lead to his missing father. It was written by author, Ken Akamatsu.

This is another volume to have a limited edition release. The limited release includes a plastic book sleeve resembling the cover to Nodoka Miyazaki's artifact, Diarium Ejus; this sleeve is surprisingly water-proof. Also included are the Kazumi Asakura Rare/Armor, Chao Lingshen Dud/Suka, and Chachamaru Karakuri Dud/Suka Neo Pactio Cards, items featured in Shaft's series.
The slip-cover is slightly different than the standard release; the front has less white space and the background is significantly expanded. The manga itself has no changes and is printed in the standard black-and-white.
