This is the 22nd volume of a series of 38 books in total about the challenges of Negi, a child wizard who is tasked with teaching a class of junior-high girls all while searching for clues to lead to his missing father. It was written by author, Ken Akamatsu.

This is another volume to have a limited edition release. The limited release includes an enamel wing pin, a replica pin that the members of Ala Alba wear. It comes packaged in a cardboard casing and decorated with a unique sleeve. Also included is a small paper poster with the design of the volume's cover art.
The volume includes a colored sleeve around the book itself. The slip-cover is slightly different than the standard release; the front has less white space and the background is significantly expanded. The manga is printed in the standard black-and-white.
