Negima!? Neo Volume 5 (Limited Edition) was released in Japan on December 17, 2008 by Kodansha for ￥952. This is the fifth volume of a series of seven books in total about the challenges of Negi, a child wizard who is tasked with teaching a class of junior-high girls all while searching for clues to lead to his missing father.
This series was written by Takuya Fujima and is a spin-off of the original manga and is essentially, a retelling. It was released under the supervision of Studio SHAFT for their Negima!? anime series.

This is another volume to have a limited edition release. Bundled with the manga is a unique CD-ROM that reportedly contains a wallpaper and screensaver of official artwork from the series.
The slip-cover is slightly different than the standard release; the cover features the character's in different attire, now wearing regal wear. The manga itself has no changes and is printed in the standard black-and-white.
