there are obvious contradictions w/ the info from chapter 169 concerning the age of Asuna, which w/ the story of magic, can be explained away in many different ways, or just Akamatsu made a mistake, and that again won't be the first time.
the current school timeline might be off by a few days, (making it the wrong month) but shouldn't be off any more than that.

May 03 Evangeline accepted Negi as a disciple. Negi defeated demon Wilhelm sent to test his skills. midterm exam, class 3-A came in third.
June class 3-A ghost rumor. 20-22 Mahora Festival. 21 Negi finished 2nd in Mahora martial art tournament. 24 Negi learned the clue of Moondes Magicus from Albireo Ima.
July semester final, class 3-A finished 2nd overall. 19 summer vacation begins. Asuna establishes "Club Negima" w/ Negi being club adviser, and Evangeline being honorary club adviser.

the only clue is it happened before the inquisition/witch hunt period. (1478-1542), wiki has her birthday during the hundred year war, which made her around 600 years old, plus/minus 50 years.
