Negima News: Asuna Appears in Rent-A-Girlfriend Mobile Game Cross-Over!
It was announced, a few days ago, that the manga series, Rent-A-Girlfriend, would soon be seeing its own mobile game, titled, Kanojo, OkarishimasuHeroine All-Stars and will be developed by Enish. The series is printed in Weekly Shonen Magazine and it seems that many of the iconic heroines from other series printed in the magazine will appear in the game as a cross-over. These girls range from manga that are still being printed to this day to ones that have ended almost a decade before.
Interesting to note is the inclusion of Asuna Kagurazaka. Negima's manga ended in 2012 and it seems to be the oldest series included in the game. It also seems like the characters are represented by their anime series, so Asuna is featured alongside the Negima Anime FINAL film.
The game will be fully voiced and Akemi Kanda will be reprising her role as Asuna. There are many specifics that yet yet to be revealed, such as what exactly the gameplay will be like, but we will be sure to update when more news is dropped. The game is set to be released in September of this year. You can view the game's Twitter account here and its website here.
There is a bit of speculation about whether this promotion may mean we will see more Negima news in the future, but due to the fact there are other characters with series that have long since ended, we do not believe there is any hard evidence to say one way or another, but nothing is off the table. Even if this leads to nothing, it is still nice to see new Negima content in any media.
We will be making a page on our site for the game in the near future, so please look forward to it! What do you think of this cross-over? Do you plan on playing it? Do you think this may point to Negima receiving some sort of update in the future? Be sure to let us know in the comments below!
