The UQ HOLDER! Mahou Sensei Negima! 2 Official Guide & Encyclopedia was released in Japan on October 6, 2017 by Kodansha. The book covers many topics about the series that were not covered in the source material.

This is the first official UQ Holder guide book, summarizing characters, Negima's story background and its ties to UQ Holder. It also goes over the animation and staff of the UQ Holder! anime that aired in 2017. A second concept chapter for UQ Holder's manga is also printed, titled UQ Holder!: 7 Samurais. This is the only form of media this chapter has ever been published in. In addition, the bonus chapter of Negima that was printed in volume 15 of Shonen Weekly Magazine earlier that year would receive its second and last printing in this book, though it was made public later on as it was posted on Ken Akamatsu's Twitter page.
