Merchandise News: Kujibikido is Releasing New Merch via Raffle!

Picture
More Negima merchandise in 2025? It is true! Kujibikido, a company known for releasing unique merch via an online raffle/lottery format has announced they will be releasing a line of merch for Negima. This essentially functions as online lottery by purchasing a ticket online. There are several types of prizes, organized by tiers. Each tier will have a different percentage of winners with the rarer tiers having better quality items. Every ticket is a winner, but what type of prize you get is up to luck. Winners can choose which item in the tier they would prefer.

The prize tiers are listed below.

Picture
S-Tier offers two different oversized fabric posters, each measuring approximately 112cm in length and 70cm in height. The designs of these are the full clean artwork from volumes two and five respectively. These are the rarest of the bunch with only a 1% chance of winning.

Picture
A-Tier offers 8 different designs of A3-sized clear posters. The designs are based on the artwork featured on the backsides of select volumes of the manga. There will only 6% to win one of these.

Picture
B-Tier offers nine different designs of acrylic keychains. They are approximately 6 x 6 centimeters and height and length. The character artwork is also from the backsides of select manga volumes. Ticker purchasers will have a 13% chance to claim their favorite.

Tier-C offers more prizes with art from the manga backsides. These are small art prints measuring 13.5cm in length and 12cm in width. There are 23 cards to collect. There is a 30% of walking away with one of these.

Tier-D mixes it up a bit with a collection of can badges with various shot of panels of the manga emphasizing a particular selection of characters. These are 7.5cm in diameter and are the most common prize with a whopping 50% chance of redeeming one of these. There are 18 designs in total.

Not only are there prizes in the tiers above, but there is an opportunity to receive a free bonus item! For each purchase a 10-pack set of tickets, the buyer will receive one of five different art prints as seen in the first image above. Unlike the tiered prizes however, these designs will be distributed randomly.

Another bonus will also be made available for a limited time. Those purchasing the 10-pack set of tickets between March 6 through the 11th will receive an additional art print, featuring the full clean artwork from volume 37 of the manga. This is in addition to the normal purchase bonus print.

Each ticket costs ¥770 and unfortunately, this lottery is limited solely to Japan. Like last time, these items are bound to show up on auction sites after their release. This lottery starts March 6 and lasts through April 3, 2025, with items expected to ship out late June to late July. You can find the Negima Kujibikido campaign page here!

It really is nice seeing more Negima merch being pumped out all these years later, through it is unfortunate the majority of us will have a harder time procuring these goods. What do you think? Is there anything here you will be on the lookout for later this year? Just let us know your thoughts in the comments and let us hope for future Negima announcements!

Negima News: Negima! Magister Negi Magi: Mahora Panic Gacha Game!

Negima! Magister Negi Magi Mahora Panic is a brand new Negima-themed gacha game released by G123, a company known for releasing similar game with other popular franchises. This was announced a few months ago, but the game is now live and in several languages! This is a browser game that can be played on PC, and select Apple and Android products.

The game is free with in-app purchases and has several timed events and character pulls. The game has notable positives, including brand new art not only of the main cast, but minor supporting characters, a place for fans around the globe to socialize and play together, and bringing attention to a series that ended over a decade ago.

However, there are some issues we feel we need to address before we encourage you to play this game. As mentioned before, this is a freenium game, so while it is free to play, is heavily encourages purchases with very real currency to not only progress smoothly, but to also not miss out on timed rare character drops, as well as frequent pop-ups and level rankings. You will find yourself hitting walls in progression without sinking real money in to speed things up and while there are some purchases for below $5 USD, others are over $100. So before trying it yourself, please take note, if you feel you are susceptible to overspending and/or gambling, please consider if you want to invest in this game. While gacha games are not legally considered to be gambling in many countries, there are still studies being conducted and it is best to be safe and consider the risks.

Keep in mind, this game is a live service and when the servers shut down, you will not keep anything spent with real currency. If you are interested in the story or gameplay, it is admittedly bleak on that front. Strategy does play a key, but at the end of the day, this is an idle game and as for story, there really is not one. If you are playing in English, what story there is, unfortunately, is poorly translated.

We understand we went over several issues with the game, but we genuinely are happy to see the franchise is not dead and it has brought a resurgence to the franchise! It is exciting to see a brand new game in 2025, but at the end of the day, you are more important than a game, so do what is best for you!

We will be posting art and other assets from the game in its own section on the site in the near future. If you would like to see gameplay of the first full chapter of the game, you can check out our video here. There is an official Discord server for talking with other fans, discussing the game, and reporting bugs. That server invite can be found here. We also have a channel for game discussion in our own Discord. If you have questions about the game, you can ask on either server!

The link to the English version of the game can be found here!

Keep in mind, you need to choose a server wisely! If your friends are playing in a different server than you, you will need to reset your progress as your data is stored on the individual server!

Have you played the game? What are your thoughts on it? Let us know in the comments! There are a lot of opinions about the game, but it is nice to have Negima news to share in 2025!

Merchandise: eeo Store Releases New Line of Negima! Anime Merch!

New Negima merch in 2025? It is true! A3!, also known as known as A3 MARKET, is releasing a new line of merchandise for the 2005 XEBEC anime series. Some of these items may appear pretty similar to others released in the past, but these are all brand new items, especially the mini acrylic stands and sticker sheet, which feature new character art. These sport the same physical characteristics as seen in the 20-year-old anime series, most obviously seen with Chisame and Yue's hair colors.

This collection is composed of:
  • 10 Acrylic Cards - ¥660 for Each or ¥6,600 for Full Set
  • 8 Acrylic Stands - ¥900 for Each or ¥7,200 for Full Set
  • A3-Sized Clear Poster - ¥1,925
  • Mug - ¥2,035
  • 3-Piece Bromide Set - ¥550
  • Sticker Sheet - ¥770

Both the acrylic cards and stands are available for purchase individually or as a set. Purchasing individually will result in a blind box pick while ordering as a set ensures all designs.

This collection was sold via A3's personal site, eeo Store, for either delivery or pick-up via their physical storefront, eeo Store Ikebukuro Main Branch. Pre-orders began February 20th and would last until the 27th. The items are still available for purchase, while supplies last. These are expected to ship out in late May.

But wait, that is not all!
eeo Store is offering a purchase bonus! For every ¥2,200 spent on eligible items, including all of the items listed above, buyers will be given one free Negima! postcard in their order. There are three different designs in all, though which one you will receive will be random. These postcards will be available from February 20 through April 12, 2025, or while supplies last.

You can find a link to the collection here. Unfortunately, eeo Store does ship overseas and encourages you to use a proxy service.

What are your thoughts on this line of merch? How does it feel getting new merch for a series that ended 13 years ago or an anime that is 20 years old? As always, let us know in the comments! Also, it is nice to update after two years!

UQ Holder News: Crunchyroll Says Goodbye to UQ Holder Manga

Picture
Crunchyroll announced today that several manga series they had rights to would soon be leaving their platform. Unfortunately, UQ Holder is one of the IP's to be dropped. This falls on Kodansha, who is actively changing things on the distribution end.

This is the statement Kodansha gave on this matter:
"Due to forthcoming changes in Kodansha’ simulpub distribution program, we are suspending simulpub updates until further notice. For now, the best way to keep up with your favorite series will be by following the collected volumes. We at Kodansha are deeply sorry to those of you who have kept up-to-date through the simulpub format, and while we can’t divulge any details at the moment, we have exciting announcements to make about simulpubs in the coming months.
If you have been reading UQ Holder on Crunchyroll, please keep this in mind. It will stay live until January 31, 2023, so if you have been postponing your reading, you may want to pick it back up, though it is worth keeping in mind that the full series is not published on Crunchyroll. You can read the full article on Crunchyroll and see if any other titles that pique your interest will be leaving the platform.

Were you reading on Crunchyroll? As always, leave your thoughts in the comments! There is little news to report on these days, but regardless, we will always be here to report!

Negima News: Mixa Animation Diary Mahou Sensei Negima! Live Event!

Picture
It was recently announced that Negima would be featured by Mixa Animation Diary. This event will be held at a large theater venue in Japan and will feature the main voice cast from the series; the talent will include Rina Satou, Akemi Kanda, Ai Nonaka, and Natsuko Kuwatani, the voices of Negi Springfield, Asuna Kagurazaka, Konoka Konoe, and Yue Ayase respectfully. During this event, the guests will look back on their experience and talk about the production of the Xebec TV anime series.

The Mixa Animation Diary is an event held at the Mixa Theater that focuses on past the future animation series that were produced by Kodansha. Negima will be the fourth series in the Mixa Animation Diary events and is set to open on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Theater Mixa in Tokyo. The event is divided into two parts, one during the day and one at night.

Of course, most of the fans frequently here, if any at all, will not be able to attend this event, but from what we understand, a recording of it will eventually be distributed, with a bonus of additional "behind-the-scenes" dressing room talk.

We will be sure to let you know of any additional news comes out and when/where to buy a recording of the event in the future! What do you guys think of this? Will you be able to attend? Comment and let us know!

UQ Holder News: Volume 28 Cover!

Volume 28 of UQ Holder, the last release, came out some time ago, finally bringing the series to an end. We are a bit late with this update, but pictured above is the final cover design, featuring the same duo we started with. The back cover is the Negima cast, living out their lives in the UQ Holder timeline now that the journey is over. This volume received eight bonus pages that were not featured in the initial release, and while I will not spoil the contents of those here, I will clarify it is not an epilogue.

Volume 28 was released on March 9, 2022 in Japan.

It really is hard to believe the series is over and with this, news regarding the series as a whole will definitely be far less frequent. The author has since went into politics and while he proudly features his popular works, there does not currently seem like there are plans to continue this story.

What did you all think of UQ Holder? Did you feel like the last couple of chapters wrapped up nicely? What did you think of the ending the characters received? Let us know, one last time!

APRIL FOOL'S: Negima Series NFT Line Announced: Pactio GIRLS

If you have been around on the internet for the past year, it has been pretty impossible not to notice the addition of NFT's on social media. Brands and artists have been dying to get in on the action and the anime industry is no exception. For instance, famed manga artist, Kamui Fujiwara, known for his work on Shifuku Sennen or Dragon Quest: Warriors of Eden, put up concept illustrations for an NFT line earlier this year.

Today, we are here to announce the addition of the new NFT line from Ken Akamatsu himself! He recently addressed his interest in the NFT market in a recent tweet and this led up to the announcement of a new line, focused on the Negima cast. He posted a new tweet earlier this month.
これはすべて冗談なので、私はグーグル翻訳で一貫性のないものを書いています。私はそれをPactioGIRLSと呼んでいます。何とか何とか、NFTの他のものについての何か。
Translated, Akamatsu announces a new series of NFT's title "Pactio GIRLS". It is focused around the many female characters in Negima. What makes this line interesting is that the Pactio Cards from the manga will be the base, but each NFT will have a unique outfit. While the details are yet to be announced, it is expected the more popular cast will receive more illustrations than other less-favored characters.

Perhaps results from the 2017 popularity poll will be considered, though that is just speculation. More details are to come in the following weeks.

What do you think of this announcement? Are you happy to have an exclusive waifu of your very own? Are you hoping for another line, but with Love Hina or the UQ Holder cast? Be sure to let us know your thoughts!

UQ Holder's Manga is About to End...

Picture
The last chapter of UQ Holder! is set to drop within only a matter of hours and we’re all eager to see how it ends. It does not look like it will be able to satisfy many questions left open from both UQ Holder and Negima, but we will only know once the chapter releases.

How have you enjoyed the manga up to this point? Are you still reading or have you since dropped this title? What would you like to be answered in the end? Who will Touta end up with?

Let us know your thoughts on the series and be on the look out for the last chapter!

~Also, woohoo! This is our 200th front page post!~

UQ Holder News: Volume 27 Cover Revealed!

Picture
The cover art of volume 27 recently came out and it appears that Evangeline in both her normal and adult form star on this piece of art. Interestingly, this is one of the only covers not to feature Touta in some way, though it is almost assured he will appear on the back cover. If you have been keeping up with the story, the art seems pretty fitting for this volume.

Volume 27 will release on November 9th, 2021 in Japan.

What do you think of it? Volume 28 will be the last, so there is only one more cover to go. Are you hoping any characters will be featured? Maybe you would like to see something similar to Negima's final volume? You be sure to let us know all your thoughts in the comments below!

Merchandise News: New Pactio Card-Centered Doujinshi Announced

The author of Negima and UQ Holder, Ken Akamatsu, announced on Twitter today that a new doujinshi would soon be available for purchase at Super Comic City later this month, on August 22nd. This self-published book will be focused on all the Pactio Cards from both Negima and UQ Holder.

The book is 24 pages and feature the cards in full color. Small side notes of comments and explanations of the cards abilities are written to their sides. The book is roughly translated to "The Complete Works of Pactio Cards". Akamatsu will present at this con and will be selling this book and another focusing on real-life Senator Yamada Taro in a praise/parody manor. You can find the convention site here. Neither book will be sold in bookstores and as of this time, it seems it will be an event-exclusive item.

What do you think of this book? Are there other topics you would like to see Akamatsu publish via a doujinshi one day? Be sure to tell us and best of luck claiming a copy!
