Merchandise News: DMM Scratch is Currently Holding a Negima Raffle!
There's a new wave of Negima merchandise about to release, courtesy of DMM Scratch. In case you are not familiar with that name, they essentially functions as a mail-in lottery, via physical mail or by purchasing a ticket online. Lucky winners will receive exclusive merchandise for the series. Some of the items are more common wins than others, just as a normal lottery operates. The prize tiers are listed below.
A-tier offers two different die-cut acrylic boards. These are the rarest prizes, with a 2/100 chance to claim them. Oh, and in addition, both versions are signed by the author of the manga, Ken Akamatsu, so no doubt, these are the most coveted items in this promotion.
Four different canvas boards are the prizes of B-tier. Each features different colored art from the manga. There's a 6/100 chance of winning one of these.
Face towels are pretty popular items in Japan, so it is no surprise to see them as a prize for C-tier. The art on the towels are taken from the covers of the most recent releases of Negima's manga a few years ago. There are six designs in all with a 12/100 chance of receiving one.
Let's hope the odds are in your favor if you hope to win your favorite character from the D-tier. Negi and all his students are available as acrylic stands, making 32 total types of prizes. Interestingly, the art for these are taken from the character profiles from the manga. There is a 30/100 chance to win one.
Can badges are not usually the most coveted, but who wouldn't want a Negima one? Well, you can win one in E-tier, with 32 different options! The character art is the same from D-tier and there is a 50/100 chance to win one of these, so the odds are in your favor.
In addition to the prizes above, there are bonus prizes! Additional face towels can be won, but their quantities are limited. Each towel will only be available for a hand-full of days or until they sell out.
Each scratch entry costs ￥880 and unfortunately, this lottery is limited solely to Japan. However, we are bound to see the items hit auction sites in the future, so keep an eye out! You can find more details and the Negima DMM Scratch page here!

UQ Holder News: Volume 26 Cover Revealed!
Recently, volume 26's cover of UQ Holder was revealed. On it, we see the three main contender to Touta's flourishing harem. It is certainly very different in tone when compared to the previous volume's art, but it definitely represents the recent chapters rather well. Sadly, UQ Holder is winding down to its end, so there are only a few more covers yet to come, so this may be the last with fan service, but who knows. We shall see.
Volume 26 will release on July 9th, 2021 in Japan.

Negima News: Asuna Appears in Rent-A-Girlfriend Mobile Game Cross-Over!
It was announced, a few days ago, that the manga series, Rent-A-Girlfriend, would soon be seeing its own mobile game, titled, Kanojo, Okarishimasu Heroine All-Stars and will be developed by Enish. The series is printed in Weekly Shonen Magazine and it seems that many of the iconic heroines from other series printed in the magazine will appear in the game as a cross-over. These girls range from manga that are still being printed to this day to ones that have ended almost a decade before.
Interesting to note is the inclusion of Asuna Kagurazaka. Negima's manga ended in 2012 and it seems to be the oldest series included in the game. It also seems like the characters are represented by their anime series, so Asuna is featured alongside the Negima Anime FINAL film.

The game will be fully voiced and Akemi Kanda will be reprising her role as Asuna. There are many specifics that yet yet to be revealed, such as what exactly the gameplay will be like, but we will be sure to update when more news is dropped. There's something we've been working on that we are so glad to bring to you all today!
n 2017, two series would receive bonus chapters bundled with a limited version of volume 15 of Shonen Weekly Magazine. These series would be Negima and School Rumble. Included were mini 8-page chapters.
While we do not usually provide scans of chapters on this site, due to this chapter never making it outside Japan, we decided to make an exception. Further more, as of 2021, we went a step further and funded an English translation!
We are absolutely thrilled to finally bring you an English translation to this chapter! You can read the entire 8 pages right here!

Site News: Welcome to AlaAlba.Club!
We have a really exciting announcement today! We have officially changed our name to AlaAlba.Club!
This has been the plan from the beginning, but we have finally made the change and to celebrate, we commissioned a piece of art by the talented poppet5! Please consider checking out their DeviantArt and Pixiv, they do great work!
Furthermore, with this change, we have also gained the ability to upload videos directly to our site, meaning we do not need to risk Youtube flagging our videos at a moment's notice. We have uploaded many of the anime's OP/ED's and the pachinko videos to the site, so please consider checking those out! We plan on uploading Blu-Ray quality of many of these in the future!
We have also brought back our forums as an alternative way to communicate with other fans! They haven't been touched in years and weren't really used very much when available, but feel free to post on our forums if you so choose!
In addition to this rebranding, we have big plans for future for the future, one of which will be announced later today! Please look forward to it and thank you for your continued support!

UQ Holder News: Bessatsu Shonen Magazine April 2021 Issue Features UQ Holder on Cover!
It was announced a little while ago that UQ Holder would be appearing on the front cover for the magazine it is currently being published in, Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. If you know anything about these covers, it's a great chance for the manga's artists to show off brand new art of their characters in color, so fans tend to look forward to it. This time around, we have the main cast garbed in wedding dresses with Touta in the center, wearing his nee working attire. Ken Akamatsu also released a clean version of the art on his Twitter.
This will appear on the April 2021 version of the magazine, set to release on March 9, the same day that volume 25 of UQ Holder is set to release!
In the past, when the series appeared on the magazine's cover, it would include a special bonus item, like a Pactio Card of clear file folder, but so far, there is no news of a bonus being included, so if you do end up purchasing this, please be advised. You can pre-order now on Amazon JP.

UQ Holder News: Volume 25 Cover Revealed!
UQ Holder Volume 25 is finally here and with it comes a brand new cover! The art features Touta front and center with the broken Orbital Elevator in the distance. The backside of the cover features a new set of enemies that first appeared only a few chapters ago. This volume was revealed a couple days ago and eying reactions around Discord and social media, there are a number of fans claiming it's one of Ken Akamatsu's best.
Volume 25 will release on March 9th, 2021 in Japan.

We have all heard the classic argument: who is best girl?
It's a popular topic among anime fans, but there is one I hear far less often regards men, so we're going to focus on them for today's poll. Mind you, Sept and Kuromaru will be added to the poll. They are both special exceptions, but they will be added for the sake of being thorough.
There are many interesting characters who are apart of UQ Holder, so I am definitely interested in your answers.

Negima News: Featured on Sentai's Halloween Scavenger Hunt!
A couple days ago, Sentai Filmworks, the English publisher of both Negima and UQ Holder, announced a Halloween-themed scavenger hunt. HIDIVE was also participating in the event. To play, a person would be given a hint to specify a specific anime and would need to look through Sentai and HIDVE's websites to find the title in question. Answering 8 clues would result in being able to enter your email into a giveaway for prizes and each answer would award downloadable wallpapers.

It looks like Negima was featured among the scavenger hunt, with a dad-pun to kill all dad-puns. It was pretty neat to come across! (By the way, the answer to the clue definitely may or may not be the Negima! + Negima!? Complete Collection..)

UQ Holder News: Volume 24 Cover Revealed!
With the 24th volume of UQ Holder set to release in the coming weeks, the new cover has been revealed. On it, we see the human girls (and Isana and Honoka, which are not confirmed human one way or another) in some revealing attire. Surprisingly, this is the first time Shinobu, Honoka, and Isana have been featured on the front cover and gives us a good look at their intended hair color. Also interesting is the fact Isana's ponytail is drawn on the opposite side as it is normally portrayed, so it is up for debate whether it was intentional or not.
Volume 24 will release on November 9th, 2020 in Japan.

Merchandise News: Sentai Filmworks to Release Complete Negima Collection
Sentai Filmworks recently announced their newest line-up of anime soon to hit their store and surprisingly, Negima was on this list. It seems they have combined both animated series and are set to release a combo collection of both the XEBEC TV series and Shaft's Negima!? adaption, along with the two Spring/Summer OVA's along with it. That's 54 episodes in total.
It is set to release October 20, 2020 for the retail price of $129.98, though the pre-order price seems to be $84.99.
This is a bit surprising to see, but a welcomed sight. You can pre-order now on Sentai's website. If you have yet to pick up and series and have been wanting to, this might interest you!

Site Event: Class 3-A Tournament Arc
We are all for events that the community can do together, so today, we present to you... The Class 3-A Tournament!
As we were re-reading Negima in our community Discord server, an idea came to form. Who is truly the strongest of Negi's students? We have made a tournament-style bracket made up of the entirety of Class 3-A. The idea is simple. Each girl is paired with another, but in a battle, who would win?
Due to where we are in the re-read, this battle takes place immediately after the School Festival arc in the manga, so any growth made by the characters in volumes 19 and up will not be considered in this tournament.
If you'd like to vote with the rest of the community for who you think the winners of these rounds would be, please check do so on our Discord server! Be sure to join us as we read through and discuss things we may not have noticed in Negima, too!

UQ Holder News: Addressing UQ Holder! Anime Season 2 Rumors
Recently, there's been several rumors creeping around on social media about a second season of UQ Holder. The first season originally aired in October of 2017 and following its release, two OAD episodes were released with a couple limited edition releases of the series' manga.
Since then, fans were asking for awhile, when is the second season?
A blog reported a a year or so ago that the second season was coming October later that year. Recently, many groups on social media are reporting on season 2 coming out this fall. Some even say the second season is already airing, but they insist the OAD episodes are part of the second season. The first OAD episode aired even before the first season of the anime, so this certainly is not the case.
So, the big question, is a second season coming?
The short answer? No, probably not. The series, while fortunate enough to receive OAD episodes, has been cursed with one season anime series, ever since the first season of Negima. There is no news about a second season coming out and frankly, the odds of one coming are slim. Remember, rumors always crop up, so check for sources before you get your hopes up! However, if Kodansha decides to release a new season, you can bet we will report on it!
