Mahō Sensei Negima! Introduction Film

Before the full length anime series was released, the Negima Introduction OVA's were aired in Japan with the purpose of introducing the large cast before the full anime aired. The first episode covers chapter 1 of the manga, the second covered chapter 2, and lastly, the third and final episode covered chapter 13. The episodes were short, mainly ranging between 5-10 minutes, and the full anime series expanded on these episode's stories further. The ends of the episodes were dedicated to introducing Negi's class. Though Xebec released a full series a year after the last OVA aired, many character pallets were changed. For example, Setsuna Sakurazaki's hair, while originally black in the Intro episodes, was later changed to a dark navy color. There is also a noticeable change in color tone as well for the entire series. The first two episodes were bundled with drama CD's and the final episode was sold separately. These were released exclusively in Japan and no official English sub or dub exists. Outside their initial physical release, these have never again been released on any platform. |
