UQ Holder received a TV anime series in 2017 by Studio J.C.Staff and the show is an adaptation of the series' manga. However, it was restricted down to 12 episodes, so it's not a a full adaptation. Many scenes were cut out or rushed, such as Santa's arc and Dana's training. Over 100 chapters were cut down to only 12 episodes, so this is to be expected.
There are certain elements completely different than those in the manga, such as Shinobu's involvement in UQ Holder and the unique ending of the anime. An OAD series was released as well, taking place in the same canon as this anime.
