UQ Holder News: Volume 23 Cover Revealed!

Now that the last few chapters have been released, finally, we get to see the focus of Volume 23's cover. The art is focused around the manga's latest arc and we see Touta holding Kuromaru in his arm, wielding a blade as wings shield them both.

Volume 23 will release on July 9th, 2020 in Japan.

UQ Holder News: Chapter 172 Delayed

If you've been trying to seek out this month's chapter of UQ Holder, you've probably realized it's nowhere to be seen. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, chapter 172's released date has been pushed back. It's scheduled to be released in June.

It's certainly a bit disappointing, but things happen.  What is important is to stay safe out there, everyone!

Site Update: New Site Design

So if you're a returning visitor, you may notice our website looks a bit different from the last time you were here. We've been busy making cosmetic changes to the site to make it not only look more appealing to the eyes, but make it less dull. Thank you for you patience for the  last few days as we've been implementing things!

So far, not every page has been updated to reflect our new design, due to some unexpected obstacles, but rest assured, they're being worked on! We didn't want to leave the site down for too long, so please bear with us as we fix everything! There seems to be some kinks for mobile devices, so we will do what we can to address those soon!

UQ Holder News: Volume 22 Cover Revealed!

With volume 22 coming out in a week's time, we finally get to see the cover! We have young Evangeline front and center, the main feature of the art, with fireworks sparking in the background. In addition, clean art of the full cover was also posted by Ken on Twitter, revealing Touta and the backdrop of the city of Ostia.

Volume 22 will release on February 7th, 2020 in Japan.

Site Update: Music Page is Now Live!

Over the past year, we've been hearing talk about interest in a full list of the various pieces of music from the series and while there are plenty of lists online, there really hasn't been a totally complete one.

Well, we decided to do one better and in addition to a full list, each song is provided with details you may want to know, such as singers, staff, and on what piece of media it was released. In addition, we have also provided each version and samples of the songs.

We're pretty proud of it, so if you'd like to take a look, you can find the music page right here!

Merchandise News: Bessatsu Shonen Magazine Features UQ Holder and Merch!

For the February issue, Bessatsu Shonen Magazine will feature the UQ Holder cast as the main highlight of the cover. We also get to see new official art of the main cast in color!

In addition, this volume comes with an exclusive piece of merch: a brand new UQ Holder! clear file colder! The official design of the folder has not yet been revealed, but if you'd like to buy this issue, it will be released on January 8, 2020 in Japan.

Theories: The Queen of Calamity

Today, we want to introduce a brand new event to the site: theories! Every few weeks, we will take a look at a topic of interest from the series that has yet to be answered and you, the fans, can submit your own ideas to what may have occurred. These can be as serious or as silly as you'd like! All we ask is that you put some effort into it and try to use evidence to back up your claims. We'll post all submissions to the site the next time we hold a theory event. So now that we have that covered, let's take a look at today's topic:

​Merchandise News: Taking a Look at Negima & UQ Holder Merch

You might remember when we covered new UQ Holder merch around two years ago, but the series as a whole has a whole lot of merch most fans may not know about it, especially if you live outside Japan. Today, we want to take a look at some of both series' merchandise!

The slideshow above features a small portion of merch for both Negima and UQ Holder, varying from CD's, apparel, to a limited edition manga. You can find those items and many more in the merchandise sections.

UQ Holder News: Volume 21 Cover Revealed!

We have finally reached Volume 21 and on its cover we find a fight between immortals the manga has been covering for the past few months. This cover specifically features Jinbei in his battle with Juuzou with a few other members of the UQ Holder team in the background.

Volume 21 will release on October 9th, 2019 in Japan.

Polls: Kuromaru's Decision

One of the longest running questions in UQ Holder is whether Kuromaru will choose to be a boy or girl. There's been several scenes to support either sex, but nothing is yet conclusive. However, it seems fans have a preference in the matter and already refer to Kuromaru as "he" or "she".  We're curious to see which fans are leaning towards, so we're holding another poll!

​Will Kuromaru accept the femininity and feelings toward Touta, accepting the fact that females are just as strong as men or will Kuromaru accept that men can hold feelings toward other men and continue being part of Touta's bro gang?
